Cover Watch – Austrian Italy 1850-1858*

Muto di Chiavenna

Coverwatch_Chiavenna
The rare cancellation "Muto di Chiavenna" is not known on 5c and 10c stamps. The cancellation is faked and the adhesives are forgeries.

The one line cancellation CREMONA is a fake and the 5 C adhesive a forgery (to compare the two line is original)

MIlano

Coverwatch_Milano
1852 original letter, however, the 7 B adhesive does not belong (to compare an original cover travelled without stamps during the same period)

Austrian Italy to Quebec

Coverwatch_Quebec
The 5 c and all the four 45 c stamps are forgeries, only the damaged 10 c is original. The cover with all the handstamps is faked. This must have been faked many years ago because the former collector owned it for several years and died about eight years ago. Dr Ferchenbauer detected this cover as a fake and I fully agree with his opinion.

Rho to Amman

Coverwatch_Amman
This letter from Rho to Amman looks like a product from the same forger as the one to Canada. Be aware as it was recently offered on ebay!
